What the PSLE Actually Measures
The Primary School Leaving Examination sits at the end of Primary 6 and determines secondary school posting through the Achievement Level, or AL, scoring system, where each of the four subjects, English, Mother Tongue, Mathematics, and Science, is scored on a scale from AL1 to AL8 and summed into a total that ranges from 4 to 32.
