Yes. Narrative craft is what composition rewards, and unlike memorised models it works on any prompt.
Do you use model compositions?+
We read good writing and analyse why it works. We do not have students memorise models, because examiners recognise them and it collapses on an unfamiliar prompt.
What age suits it?+
From around Primary 3 through Secondary. Younger students focus on narrative and description; older ones on voice and structure.
Is it only for strong writers?+
No. Reluctant writers often benefit most, because we separate the thinking from the writing and remove the blank-page problem.
